Patti Pickering, MBA, LPC

Patti Pickering, MBA, LPC

Founder

MyTreeHouse was founded by Patti Pickering in 2008. Prior to founding MyTreeHouse, Patti spent 25 years in healthcare administration with the Baylor Healthcare System.

She was inspired to create MyTreeHouse after her best friend asked for help in finding support for her adopted daughter. The pre-teen was struggling with anxiety, depression and risk-taking behaviors, while her mother was becoming increasingly desperate for help.

After much research, Patti and her friend were able to find support the family needed. They mapped out a comprehensive  plan tailored to the girl’s unique needs and life circumstances. As treatment progressed, Patti facilitated open communication between all those involved.

Over the years, Patti remained a central figure in the treatment of her best friend’s daughter. Watching this young girl emerge from the depths of depression to a life full of hope and optimism had a lasting effect on Patti – she had truly helped change the life of a child…and discovered her own calling along the way.
